2019
Hydro Flasks, Blume Dolls, and more for Ronald McDonald House
Our donations in 2019 included 145 gifts, such as 44 Blume dolls and 20 Hydroflasks. We also got gifts for various age ranges, including Nerf guns, makeup kits, and baby toys.
Hydro Flasks were THE gift this year for tweens and teens. It was our first year sourcing for older kids, who often don't have affordable stuff on their list. We even managed to get some special and limited edition flasks to give!
2020
Baby Alive, JBL Earbuds, and more for Ronald McDonald House
We ran into this mom while dropping everything off. She'd been living in the RMH for two months so her daughter could get treatment. We opened up our boxes right in the lobby because a Hydro Flask was #1 on her child's list!

Covid prevented us from getting as involved as we usually are. We weren't permitted in any buildings on RMC's campus, but we were still able to pack up the goodies, load them in our van, and unload them onto dollies for the RMC volunteers to bring into Santa's workshop. Anything to get these toys where they needed to go!
2021
This year saw a big push for the anointed Magic Mixies Mixing Cauldron. By mid-November, the normally $65 toy was going for $150, $250, and even $300+ on some reseller sites. But thanks to early action (and the generosity of a few motivated donors), we managed to get 10 of them for ~$850! Other 2021 all-stars included JBL clip-on Bluetooth speakers, LOL Clubhouse Playsets, and Blippi cars for the little ones.
Covid restrictions still kept us out of the RMHC properties, but we were able to drop off at the Chestnut Street loading dock in downtown so the toys could be distributed between its two Philly locations.
In all, we delivered 270 items with an estimated retail value of $6,238. That's more than years 1-4 combined!
2022
JBL, Magic Mixies, and Baby Alive stay popular. Linka's Kids passes $25k in total donations!
Year 7 unleashed levels of donations Linka's Kids had never seen! Despite no major toy emerging as impossible to get, the landscape did have highly popular options: Baby Alive for the little ones; Magic Mixies diversified their offerings to great success for elementary-school kids; and JBL stayed atop their platform as high-quality-yet-affordable audio equipment for teens. Linka's Kids again partnered with RMHC at their Chestnut Street, Philadelphia location to deliver 681 toys with a retail value of $9,885!
2023
The Barbie Movie takes center stage for Linka's Kids biggest year ever: 500+ toys worth $11,000!
The success of The Barbie Movie set Mattel up for a banner year. By Black Friday, the dolls and accessories were nearly impossible to find. But Linka's Kids was ready, sourcing 52 dolls and 4 corvettes, plus 450+ additional toys and gifts for babies, children, and teens. Shout out to partners who hosted collection boxes and fundraisers (like The Little Club, Ardmore - pictured above). All toys were donated and set up in the Holiday Shop at RMHC Chestnut Street, Philadelphia. Click the picture of the shop to see it!
