"Moments before this picture was taken this woman was sobbing in my arms with gratitude and relief. She is one of the bravest women I have ever met. She has already dealt with the heartbreak of losing one child and has been living the past 2 months at The Ronald McDonald House with her other daughter who is undergoing treatment. She has more children at home and wasn't sure how she was going to 'make it happen' this Christmas. We were able to provide the most popular gifts of the season; one of which was the #1 gift on her daughter's list. Her overwhelming response inspired me to do everything I can to make next year bigger. This is why we do what we do. Together we made a difference. Just look at that smile on her face!
